The Honorary Consulate protects rights and interests of the Republic of Indonesia and of the Indonesian nationals, both individuals and corporate bodies; furthers the development of commercial, economic, cultural and scientific relations between Indonesia and the Republic of Camerroon and otherwise promotes friendly relations between two countries; exercises full scale of official consular functions envisaged by the legislation of the Republic of Indonesia, bilateral agreements as well as other principles of international law.
The Honorary Consulate exercises consular functions for the sake of the Indonesian nationals permanently residing inside its consular jurisdiction or temporarily visiting Cameroon; Cameroonian citizens; stateless persons, as well as nationals of a third state legally staying in Republic of Cameroon.
The Honorary Consulate is a state authority for foreign relations of he Republic of Indonesia exercising consular functions on behalf of the Republic of Indonesia inside its consular jurisdiction on the territory of the Republic of Cameroon.
